New Tooling: Bollinder Sets

The new tooling we now supply are Gerrymet are bollinders @ £1550.00 per set (exc. VAT).  

If this is what you neeed, the spec is 180 dia x Z=6 x 60 bore Tongue & Groove V One Side 

They're manufactured to order and it's around  5/6 working weeks for Gerrymet's delivery time.

By a ratio of 4:1, the bollinder sets will out-perform a Brazed Tip Set.  This Includes run times and a better finish, better run times and the tooling lifespan will be much longer.

Due to the way the tool is formed the bollinder tools can be sharpened at least three times more than a Brazed Tip Set.  They also finish a lot better due to the accuracy of the forming process and they can achieve higher feed rates.

For example:

4 wing Tools   20 - 30 metres per minute.

6 Wing Tools  40 - 50 metres per minute.

8 Wing Tools  60 -70 metres per minute.

The feed rates depend also on the timber used, the moisture content and one or two other variables.

New Tooling: DART Auger Bits

New tooling from Gerrymet is our DART Auger Bits. One has a new spiral flute design for rapid drilling and fast chip removal. While the 4-wing bit gives an ultraspeed performance. Both auger bits have threaded tips for selfcentring and self-feeding and are available in Hex and SDS shanks.

New tooling: CNC Routers.

Gerrymet can now supply CNC routers. 

The new tool takes both standard and bespoke Euro cutters.

If you're looking to buy the tooling, the spec is 40mm dia x 25mm shank x 110mm overall length and its prices @ £150. Suitable for machining all types of material including MDF ans softwood and hardwood.
