Woodcutting on Different Scales

The cutting and carving of wood takes in thousands of methods. From cutting trees in a lumber-yard to carving faces in a workshop, there are many ways to use wood. It's amazing how woodwork has helped us in our lives with wood being used in furniture making and architecture.

Here are two examples at the opposite ends of the scale. In the film below you can watch a person cut wood using a band sawmill.
